All Oregon Sunstones have microscopic copper platelets called Schiller. If a Sunstone doesn't have these platelets it is not a Sunstone from Oregon. How the Schiller is dispersed through each stone is unique. To put it bluntly. Sometimes you see it and sometimes you don't, but these platelets do determine the color of the Sunstone. We prefer stones that minimize the Schiller, but there are buyers that prefer it. This stone has it, and it is visible, but it is angled in such a way that the beauty is really not impacted. In fact the stone is more red than virtually any Sunstone we have, and it has great size. These stones currently are brutally expensive, and our price is less that $100.00 per carat. Plus it is 100% Natural. No treatment has ever been done on any of our Sunstones. If you want a big, and beautiful pendant or collection Sunstone this is a superb deal.
