This is an Opal from the extinct but famous Opal Butte Location in North Central Oregon. It used to be the main producer of fine Oregon Opals, but has been closed since the mid 1990's. This Oregon Opal has two colors. There are some streaks and presence of yellow along with the famous Hyalite Blue. The stone is well cut in a nice cushion, and has no chips, cracks or flaws. If you want an nice American Opal for only $10.00 per carat this is a nice Opal to strongly consider. It would look gorgeous in a gold pendant.
